  1. Due to a hectic week with my real work, I wonder if I can be briefer here with my fantasy work.  Why yes, yes I can! (Sorry guys, but this week’s observations are going to be a bit shorter than usual.)

  1. My TNF reaction is simple, Ja’Marr Chase(WR-Cincinatti) has the highest ceiling of any current fantasy player.  Due to Cincinatti’s pourous defense, Joe Burrow (QB), Ja’Marr Chase, and Chase Brown (RB) are set it and forget it starters.

  1. Also, Diontae Johnson (WR-Baltimore) may just not be fantasy relevant for the remainder of the season.  I am not sure exactly what’s going on there.

  1. I wonder if I am overhyping Jauan Jennings (WR-San Francisco).  I have him ranked as WR20 for Week 10.  I “think” we should see in San Francisco’s passing attack what we have seen from it over the past year and a half: one to two of the pass catchers (Brandon Aiyuk, Deebo Samuel, and George Kittle) can have good games any week, but there is usually at least one of the threethat is left out of the fantasy fun.  Jennings is simply going to replace Brandon Aiyuk (WR-SF) in this scenario.  As for Ricky Pearsall (WR-SF), I think he simply moves up from the team’s WR4 to the team’s WR3.  In other words, Jennings will probably prove to be a volatile WR2 for the remainder of the season, with high ceilings and low floors.

  1. With Dak Prescott (QB-Dallas) requiring season-ending surgery,  I think we must readjust our expectations for the fantasy relevant players in this offense.  Cooper Rush (QB-Dallas) will now lead this offense, but the bigger story will be his impact on CeeDee Lamb (WR-Dallas) and Jake Ferguson (TE-Dallas).  Lamb, for me, falls down into WR2 range.  As for Ferguson, despite him ranking 4th amongst TEs in targets per game, the fantasy points have simply not come.  Of Rush’s 25 pass attempts in Week 09, only 3 went Ferguson’s way.  Unless you are in deep leagues, you may find something more enticing on the waiver wire. As for the running backs, I think you are seeing a Flex play at best here.

  1. Breece Hall (RB-New York Jets) seems primed for some positive TD regression.

  1. If you are concerned about DeAndre Hopkins (WR-Kansas City) scoring fantasy points against Patrick Surtain II (CB-Denver), Hopkins played 45% of his snaps in Week 09 from the slot.  Surtain rarely travels to cover slot wide receivers.  Hopkins will be schemed to avoid Surtain, and I think he will continue strong WR2 production.  Also, speaking of Kansas City, I am not sure if there is any running back with a safer floor than Kareem Hunt (RB-Kansas City).  He is going to see close to 25 touches behind a strong interior offensive line until Isiah Pacheco (RB-KC) returns.

  1. At this point in time, Detroit could be facing the ‘85 Bears defense, and I would still lock David Montgomery (RB) and Jahmyr Gibbs (RB) into my starting line-up.

  1. As I alluded to last week, I wonder if occasionally we need remindingthat whenever we have complicated fantasy decisions to make, we should go with the more talented player.  In other words, if you have Christian McCaffrey (RB-San Francisco), start him and do not overthink it. However, keep Jordan Mason (RB-SF) as insurance, and in very deep leagues, Isaac Guerendo (RB-SF).

  1. And finally…, I wonder why Saturdays and Sundays can lift the most weight.  I guess it is because all the other days are weekdays.
