And so we continue…

5.   I wonder how Zach Wilson (QB) starting for the  New York Jets tomorrow will impact the skill position players.  I am sure Garrett Wilson (WR) and Elijah Moore (WR) owners are not happy.  BUT, Corey Davis (WR) will not be playing, so there is less competition for targets.  And lest we forget, Detroit, despite its improvement, still gives up passing yards (tied for worst in ypa allowed and 3rd worst in total passing yards allowed).  I am not going to sing Wilson’s praises here. He has not been good.  But this is a get right game, and Wilson and Moore could benefit.  Are we as confident as we would be if Mike White was starting?  No, not at all.  But, I am not going to declare the sky is falling here, either.  As for the running back group, Donovan Knight (RB) is the play, plain and simple.  Detroit’s defense is tied for 3rd worst in ypc allowed and has given up the 2nd most rushing TDs.  I think Knight could have a solid game (as I try to will it into happening by typing it, since I am starting him in one of my leagues.)

6.  On the other side of that game, I wonder if D’Andre Swift (RB-Detroit)… NOPE,  I refuse to continue to try and make sense of that situation.  I no longer wonder, as this topic has aged me.  There is simply too much risk with Swift.

7.  I already discussed potential Hail Mary plays for Week 15, but I also wonder which rostered players may have blow-up games.  Isiah Pacheco (RB-Kansas City) against Houston?  D’Onte Foreman (RB-Carolina) against Pittsburght?  Mike Williams (WR-LAC) and/or Keenan Allen (WR-LAC) against Tennessee?  Any Philadelphia skill position player (Jalen Hurts, A. J. Brown, Miles Sanders, DeVante Smith) against the Bears?  (Yes, the Bears defense “looks” decent against the pass in terms of total yards and TDs allowed, but they are actually tied for worst in the league in yards per attempt allowed.)  Those are all solid possibilities, but I am looking at Derrick Henry (RB-Tennessee) against the Los Angeles Charger defense, a defense, that is tied for worst in the league in yards per carry allowed (5.4).

8.  I wonder which Dallas offense will show up tomorrow.  It is such an unpredictable team this year.  Jacksonville is a decent defense:  better against the rush than the pass.  You are obviously starting Tony Pollard (RB), CeeDee Lamb (WR), Ezekiel Elliott (RB), and probably Dalton Schultz (TE), but Dak Prescott (QB) should have a decent game, as Jacksonville’s weaker against the pass.  Meanwhile, Dallas’s pass defense is top tier against the pass, but they are only average against the run.  There is some concern with the recent fantasy performance of Travis Etienne (RB) since he left Week 12’s match-up against Baltimore.  I think he should be okay here.

9.  Tomorrow we will see Atlanta begin a new era, with Desmond Ridder (QB) getting the start against New Orleans.  I wonder how that will impact the offense.  My guess is not a lot, as I could see Atlanta continue to focus on running the ball with Tyler Allgeier (RB) and Cordarrelle Patterson (RB) against a New Orleans defense that is average against the run but top-10 against the pass.

10.  And finally… I wonder if aliens do really exist and walk among us, do they watch silly cat videos on TikTok or YouTube in their spare time like humans do?
