A player on your radar had a big game. Do you pick him up? This is where we decide whether their forecast is Fantasy or Fools Gold.

D.J. Chark WR Detroit Lions

Week 15: 7 targets, 6 rec, 94 yards, 1 TD
Week 14: 6 targets, 5 rec, 98 yards

What more does D.J. Chark have to do to get picked up in your league? This is his second strong week in a row with over 90 yards receiving on one of the hottest teams in the NFL right now. Remember he was injured earlier in the season. The Lions are firing on all cylinders right now and Chark is a big reason for the team’s success. Chark was second on the team in targets this week behind WR1 Amon St. Brown and hauled in as many receptions (6). The Lions take a trip to New Jersey this week to meet a strong Jets defense, so it will be difficult for Chark to replicate last weeks line. He will be a touchdown dependent WR3 this week against the Jets, but has favorable matchup against the Panthers and Bears the following weeks. I say he finds the endzone again this week making him fantasy gold!

Pierre Strong RB New England Patriots

5 rushes, 70 yards, 1 TD, 2 targets, 2 rec, 20 rec yards

Fantasy football rule #7: Never trust a Bill Belichick running back. You will lose every time. Every. Time. This is a strong fools gold situation.

Chris Moore WR Houston Texans

11 targets, 10 receptions, 124 rec yards

This was a great game for Moore who stepped up in a big way as the Texans almost knocked off the Cowboys this week. Moore was WR1 for the Texans as both Brandin Cooks and Nico Collins were both injured. The Texans kept pace with the Cowboys through 3 quarters with Moore attempting to play the role of Cowboy killer. He sure looked the part of a WR1 this week, but his value is tied to the injuries of the aforementioned players. The final games of the season are favorable matchups for wide receivers and there is a good chance the Texans fall beyond early in all four matchups. That could mean some fantasy goodness for Moore if he stays the WR1 for this team. In deeper league Moore is a player to watch if Cooks and Collins are unable to play. The Texans are one of the worst offenses in the league right now (no offense to the Broncos or Colts), so it is tough to recommend investing in their players. With that being said, Week 14 was perfect recipe for Moore to have a good week. Moore is worth a flier while the two Cs are out. Other than that he can be considered fools gold.
