A player on your radar had a big game. Do you pick him up? This is where we decide whether their forecast is Fantasy or Fools Gold.

What a week in the NFL! Let’s find some players to help you win it all!

Christian Watson WR Green Bay Packers

8 targets, 4 receptions, 107 rec yards, 3 rec TDs

What a game by Watson last week against the Cowboys! Finally healthy, Watson put together a game we have come to expect from WR1s in the Aaron Rodgers Green Bay offense. Injuries have slowed Watson in his rookie season that has caused him to miss 3 games already. We have been waiting for a new WR1 to emerge in Green Bay this year and this game by Watson sure seems to be the coming out party we have been waiting on. But let’s not get too excited and anoint Watson as Rodgers new WR1. This is a Packers team that has looked inconsistent for most of the season with Rodgers, at times, appearing to be a shell of his former self. Watson has not demonstrated the ability to stay healthy thus far and Rodgers has spread the ball around this season, with a revolving door of pass catchers benefiting. Let someone else blow their faab or waiver position on Watson because he is still Fools Gold at this point.

Van Jefferson WR Los Angeles Rams
3 targets, 3 receptions, 27 rec yards, 1 rec TD

Jefferson’s line was not spectacular this week, but what is noteworthy is the injury to WR Cooper Kupp on a team desperate for playmakers. Jefferson had a nice season last year for LA with over 800 yards receiving and 6 touchdowns. With the injury to Kupp, Jefferson moves into the WR2 territory for the Rams. The O-Line has had a tough time keeping the QB upright this year, but when given time Stafford has been able to find Kupp. Those targets will need to go somewhere now that he is on IR. WR Allen Robinson and Jefferson should be the primary beneficiaries of those looks. TE Tyler Higbee should see an uptick in targets as well. If you are looking for a WR2 off the waiver then Jefferson is your guy as he should be Fantasy Gold for the rest of the season. There is a chance the Rams are out of playoff contention in a month and they sit Kupp until next season. That would be good news for teams with Robinson and Jefferson.

Darius Slayton WR New York Giants

4 targets, 3 receptions, 95 rec yards, 1 rec TD

Slayton has at least 58 yards receiving in 4 of his last 5 football games. The workhorse of the Giants is RB Saquon Barkley, but they have to throw the ball to a wide receiver sometimes. Slayton seems to be the beneficiary of those receptions. He keeps getting open for Giants QB Daniel Jones. He will never be a WR1, but there is comfort in the consistency Slayton offers teams these days. If you are looking for a WR with around 6 targets, 50+ yards a game and a few TDs thrown in, then Slayton is your guy. In deeper leagues that is Fantasy Gold, but in standard leagues Slayton remains Fools Gold.

Foster Moreau TE Las Vegas Raiders

4 targets, 3 receptions, 43 rec yards, 1 rec TD

The Raiders always seem to be playing from behind in games and that is good for pass catchers. Moreau has not flashed any exceptional skills as a TE for the Raiders other than the fact that he is one of the last men standing capable of catching the ball from QB Derek Carr. With TE Darren Waller and WR Hunter Renfrow both going on the IR this week, Moreau has more targets coming his way. He will not be a consistent TE1 every week, but he offers streaming appeal for any team that does not have TE Travis Kelce. In the right match up, Moreau can really produce. His week 11 game against the Broncos is not ideal, but the following week the Raiders are going against the Seahawks who are giving up the most fantasy points to tight ends. If you are streaming tight ends then Moreau is a name to remember. Beyond that he is just Fools Gold.
