A player on your radar had a big game. Do you pick him up? This is where we decide whether their forecast is fantasy or fools gold.

Jonnu Smith TE Atlanta Falcons
5 rec, 6 targets, 100 rec yards, 1 rec TD

Great final line for the Falcons TE, but 81 yards and the RD all came on a TE screen. Smith has more value to the Falcons these days than for fantasy purposes considering that he shares time with TE Kyle Pitts. Unless you are in a deep, 14 team league then you can keep Smith on the waiver wire.

Noah Brown WR Houston Texans
6 rec, 6 targets, 153 rec yards, 1 rec TD

QB C.J. Stroud and the Texans had a game against Tampa Bay and let’s be honest, it could not happen to a better team. Great day for Brown and one he will remember for the rest of his life, because he is not likely to see these numbers again barring injuries to the Texans top 2 wide receivers and tight end, Let him stay on the waiver for now.

Tank Dell WR Houston Texans
6 rec, 11 targets, 114 rec yards, 2 rec Tds, 51 return yards

If you feel the need to grab an available Texans wide out of waivers then Tank Dell is my choice. He has continued to build a rapport with Stroud as the season has gone on and his numbers show he is a trusted target. If you cannot grab WR Nico Collins, then Dell is the Texans WR to own from here on out. He is fantasy gold!

Keaton Mitchell RB Baltimore Ravens
9 rushes, 138 yards, 1 rush TD

Great day for the rookie out of East Carolina. He looked explosive spelling RB1 Gus Edwards and RB2 Justice Hill after the game got away from the Seahawks. If I am already invested in this backfield then I shake the tires on Mitchell, but otherwise I would pass on this situation. The Ravens look great so far, but I would not want to be starting their RBs on my fantasy team.

Cade Otton TE Tampa Bay Buccaneers
6 rec, 9 targets, 70 rec yards, 2 rec Tds, 1 fum lost

Otton seems to have the trust of Buccaneers’ QB Baker Mayfield and has seen steady targets in the last 3 games. This is a situation to avoid if you have anything else at tight end, because this was purely game script and is not likely to happen again.
