Do check rankings on Fantasy Rooster and start your highest ranked players.
● Don’t get caught up in someone’s preseason stats and put them in over an established starter.
● Do check your lineup before games start in case there is a change in your players’ status.
● Don’t overreact and cut someone based on Week 1 performance.
● Do check with managers in your league to see if they are nervous about a fantasy star that has a rough first week. See if you can get them at a discount.
● Don’t trade your stars if they have a rough week. Be patient.
● Do check to see if there is a higher rated kicker on the waiver and scoop them up.
● Don’t show loyalty to a kicker. They suck.
● Do talk trash to the manager of the team you are playing Week 1. It’s just more fun.
● Don’t lose graciously if you lose Week 1. Tell them they got lucky this week, but you will beat them like eggs next time.
● Do grab a guy off the wire you have been looking at if he goes off Week 1.
● Don’t drop a starter for the waiver guy. Drop someone off your bench. Or the kicker.
● Do set aside some time to watch your players on Sunday (or any other day they are playing).
● Don’t let someone make you feel guilty for sitting and watching football. This is important.
● Do make sure you have a clever team name before Week 1.
● Don’t change your team name every week. Don’t be that guy.
● Do make sure you have a full starting lineup. No IR players as your starting RB.
● Don’t make sure you have a full starting lineup? You won’t be invited to the league next year.
● Do expect to win your league Week 1.
● Don’t have t-shirts made just yet. Wait until Week 4.
