Reaction to Week 8: Well, the Vikings got screwed by the refs. How did he not see that facemask? And by screwing them, if you had some guys playing in that game on that side of the ball, you got screwed too. The word screw is nice to type. Anyway, let’s see how I did in that game. I said to sit both QBs. Stafford had 279 yards passing, 4 TDs, and a pick. I was wrong to sit him. Darnold had 240 yards passing and 2 TDs. I was wrong with him too. I then noted to start both RBs. Jones had 58 yards rushing, 37 yards receiving, and nothing else. I was wrong to start him. Meanwhile, Williams had 97 yards rushing, 19 yards receiving, and a TD. I was finally right. Lastly, I said to start the Vikings D over the Rams. Well, the Rams won, held the Vikings to 20 points, along with 3 sacks and a non-deserved safety. I was wrong here too. I hope my poor performance didn’t screw you.
Hopefully I will do better in week 9’s Thursday night game, which brings us to New York where the Jets host the Texans, a team whose D has been pretty solid against the pass so far this year. Take that, plus the fact that Aaron Rodgers is not the Aaron Rodgers you knew, I would not start Rodgers in this game. And while the Texans are good against the pass, they are not quite as good against the run, so feel confident to keep/put back in Breece Hall. On the other side, the Jets have been susceptible to the tight end position more than not of recent. Take this, with the fact there is no Nico Collins and none of the other receivers are stepping up, and play Dalton Schultz for he should have plenty of opportunities to do some damage.
