Reaction to Week 8: Has eight been great for you? Did I start you on your way to glory? Let’s see how great I was in week 8. First of all, at QB, I said to start Kirk Cousins and Justin Herbert. Cousins ended up with 276 yards passing, 16 yards rushing, and 4 TDs. I was right to start him. Herbert had 279 yards passing, 49 yards rushing, and 2 TDs. I was right to start him too. At RB, I said to start J. K. Dobbins and Javonte Williams. Dobbins had 57 yards rushing, 11 yards receiving, and a TD. I was right to start him. Williams, however, ended up with 44 yards rushing, 8 yards receiving, and nothing else. I was wrong to start him. At wide out, I said to start Courtland Sutton and Stefon Diggs. Sutton had 100 yards receiving but lost a fumble, which, in turn, made me wrong to start him. Diggs had 81 yards receiving and nothing else, so I was wrong to start him too. For the TEs, I said to start Kyle Pitts and Tucker Kraft. Pitts had 91 yards receiving and 2 TDs. That’s more like it. I was right to start him. Kraft only had 78 yards receiving and only 1 TD. Ha. I was right to start him too. For the team defenses, I said to start the Jets and the Bengals. The Jets lost, gave up 25 points, along with only 2 sacks. I was wrong to start them. The Bengals also lost, gave up 37 points, along with nothing else, so I was even more wrong to start them. Not a good way to end. Let’s hope my picks for week 9 are better.

QB:

Kyler Murray: I tried to sit him against the 2nd best passing D last week to no avail. So, this week, I will say to sit him against the best passing D in the league, statistically of course.

Jared Goff: He has the Pack this week, and they are probably the best passing D he will have played against, up to this point in the season. They should rely on the ground game here. Not a good matchup.

RB:

Josh Jacobs: He has an ankle injury, not really an injury you want your running back to have. Plus, he is going up against the Lions, a team who is top 3 in the league against the run.

Nick Chubb: I was right to sit him last week, and I will be right this week too. He is still on a touch count, and he has a top 3 D against the run in the Chargers to boot. Not a good match up.

WR:

Zay Flowers: A tough Broncos secondary, plus the addition of Diontae Johnson to the receiving corp spells less targets, which means less catches, which means less stats. It’s elementary.

Jaylen Waddle: I know that Tua is back. I am not that much of an idiot. But, Tua has to feed Hill first, and considering they are going up against a top 5 passing D in Buffalo this week, I say not enough to feed them both.

TE:

Tucker Kraft: I was right to start him last week, and I will be right to sit him this week. He is going up against the Lions who are top 3 in the league against tight ends. Not the match up you want.

Zach Ertz: He has been above average this season, but this week he has a Giants D that is also top 3 against this position. Not a good match up here either.

D:

Broncos: They have a top 10 defense, but they do not have a top 10 offense. And while their D may slow down the Ravens, the Ravens offense will be just good enough, for it is much better than the Broncos offense.

Dolphins: They had been solid on this side of the ball this year, but they were exposed last week against Arizona. This week should be worse as they face their nemesis; a team they just cannot beat, Buffalo.
