Reaction to Week 6: The regular season is ⅓ over. Do you have at least a 33% chance of winning your league? Let’s see how my week 6 starters did. First of all, at QB, I said to start Justin Fields and Daniel Jones. Fields ended up with 145 yards passing, 59 yards rushing, and 2 TDs. I was right to start him. Jones ended up with 205 yards passing, 56 yards rushing, and a pick. I was wrong to start him. At RB, I said to start Bucky Irving and Breece Hall. Irving had 81 yards rushing, 24 yards receiving, and a TD. I was right to start him. Hall ended up with 113 yards rushing, 56 yards receiving, and nothing else. I was right to put him back in. At wide out, I said to start Terry McLaurin and Jayden Reed. McLaurin had 53 yards receiving and 2 TDs. I was right to start him. Reed only had 28 yards receiving, but he also got a score putting him just over his projections, thereby making me right to start him too. For the tight ends, I said to start Tucker Kraft and Cade Otton. Kraft had only 13 yards receiving and nothing else. I was wrong to start him. Otton, meanwhile, only had 15 yards receiving himself, but he got a score, which makes me right to start him. For the team defenses, I said to start the Texans and the Chargers. The Texans got the W, held the Pats to 21 points, along with 2 fumble recoveries, 2 picks, and 4 sacks. I was right to start them. The Chargers also got the W, held the Broncos to 16 points, along with a fumble recovery, a pick and 2 sacks. I was right to start them too. That’s a wrap for week 6, let’s check out week 7.
QB:
Baker Mayfield: He should be a regular starter for you at this point, but if not, don’t be afraid of the Ravens. Their secondary is not your momma’s Raven’s secondary.
Matt Stafford: Especially if Kupp plays. Regardless, he is going up against a weak Raiders D who has given up points and are below average against the pass.
RB:
Brian Robinson, Jr./Austin Ekeler: If Robinson plays, play him. If not, play Ekeler. They are going up against the worst team in the league against the run.
De’Von Achane: He is back and ready for action, and he is going up against a very porous Colts run D. Feel confident to play him.
WR:
Tyreek Hill: Call it a hunch, but he has a middle of the road Colts passing D who has given up some big plays recently. Hill’s specialty.
Zay Flowers: Back to back 100 yard games for him, and an even better match up against a bottom tier pass D in Tampa. I say another 100 yard game, a TD, or maybe even both.
TE:
David Njoku: Not only is he up against a bottom 5 team in Cincy against the position, but the team just traded away their #1 wide receiver. He should have more targets and opportunities.
Kyle Pitts: Seattle has also been poor against the position. Seems like he could have a strong back to back to back games here. Maybe Stella has finally, finally gotten his groove.
D:
Commanders: They have a matchup against the lowly Panthers. This spells a bounce back game for them and a solid W.
Jaguars: They have been all over the place, and their D is not really that good. But, if in a pinch, they have a good matchup this week in London against the Pats. They will find a way.
