Reaction to Week 6: Start start baby. Alright, collaborate and listen. Brooksie is back with a brand new starter edition. For QB, I said to start Minshew and Ridder. Minshew had 329 yards passing with a TD and 3 picks. Not good enough. I was not right to start him. Ridder had 307 yards passing, 18 yards rushing, 2 TDs, and 3 picks. With the picks, this one is a push. For RB, I said to start James Cook and Raheem Mostert. Mostert. Well, Mostert had 115 yards rushing, 17 yards receiving, and 3 TDs. Gulp. I was pretty right. For Cook, he had 71 yards rushing with no scores. I was not right to start him. On the wide outs, I said to start K. J. Osborn and Drake London. My Kool-aid ran dry on Osborn for he had only 48 yards receiving and no scores making me wrong to start him. London had 125 yards with no scores. Good enough, so I was right to start him. For tight end, I said to start Ertz and Goedert. In his game, Goedert had 42 yards with no score. I was wrong to start him. Ertz had 22 yards with no score. I was wrong to start him too. For the defenses, I said to start the Dolphins and the Eagles. The Dolphins got the W, held Carolina to 21 points, and had 4 sacks. I was right to start them. The Eagles lost, held the Jets to 20 points, and had 5 sacks. Close. A push here. Now, let’s see what we have for week 7 coming up.
Week 7:
QB:
Jordan Love: Denver has given up the most passing TDs and the 2nd most passing yards so far. This is a game that could bring Love out of his funk.
Geno Smith: Is he still a regular starter? If not, put him in this week. He has a Cards D that has been porous and available to be used.
RB:
Aaron Jones or A. J. Dillon: If Jones plays, play him. If he doesn’t, play Dillon. The Broncos are bottom of the league in rushing yards allowed and worst in yards per carry.
Brian Robinson, Jr.: Is he still a regular starter? If not, put him in this week. He has a Giants D that has given up the 2nd most rushing yards; they are 3rd worst in yards per carry; and they are tied for 2nd for most rushing yards allowed. Juicy.
WR:
Jakobi Meyers: Need a sub for this mega bye week? Here’s one. Meyers has the Bears who have given up the 2nd most passing TDs and 3rd most passing yards so far this season.
Christian Watson: Do you see a trend here regarding the Packers? We are playing Love, their running back. So why not play their top WR too? As noted previously, the Broncos D has not been statistically good.
TE:
David Njoku: He has been inconsistent so far, but he has a plus matchup this week against a Colts D that is toward the bottom against the position.
Michael Mayer: Got a TE on bye? In a jam? Don’t call Sam. Call Michael. His numbers have gotten better the last couple of weeks, and he’s got a favorable matchup against the Bears.
Defense:
Tampa Bay: At home. Division rival. A team that is not an offensive juggernaut. All checks. Good chance this is a low scoring game, and my money goes on the home team.
Packers: If we are playing all their offensive players, we might as well double down and play their D too.
