Before we get into Week 7’s Starters, let’s see what i got right and what i got wrong with the starters from week 6.

QB: Can one be happy when they are wrong? Oh yeah. I am happy that i was wrong about Brady. I was also wrong about Murray. What happened there? Seattle’s defense finally showed up? Meanwhile, Cousins with his 2 TDs and less than 200 yards puts him slightly above average so i will take that consolation prize.

RB: Unfortunately, Conner did not play so that does make me wrong about playing him. And it makes be doubly wrong if you superimposed Benjamin in his place because he didn’t do diddly squat. What does that saying even mean? Somebody look that up for me. So, yes, that makes me doubly wrong. Then, there is Walker and Stevenson who made me doubly right, in a way. They both did well. See, I know a couple of things.

WR: Speaking of Vikings, i mean i didn’t just denote them, but i did in the QB section, so kind of. Where was I? Oh yeah, Adam Thielen. He got a TD so I was right about playing him. As I previously noted, I am not sure who to play regarding the KC WRs, so i was right in that, but i was wrong on which one would shine this past week. I was going to be right about Hollywood Brown, but he got hurt, and of course, all together now – nobody wins when somebody gets hurt.

TE: I was wrong about both Dissly and Fant; neither one did too much. I was also wrong about the Swiss Army knife in Taysom Hill. He was more like a Gerber. However, even though he only had 4 catches for 7 yards, he still got the one TD, so I get another consolation prize for being right with Irv Smith too.

D: I was right all over this one. Commanders D – win, 7 points allowed, 5 sacks, 1 int, 1 fumble recovery = yep. Rams D – win, 10 points allowed, 2 sacks, and 1 int = yep yep. Colts D – win, 4 sacks and a fumble recovery = yep yep yep. Sounds like i have a case of the yeppers.

It’s still Bye Week Season! Time to figure who is left and available to possibly put in your starting lineup for this week.

QB:

Jimmy G – I hope he is not your every week starter, but a plug and play guy. If so, then this week is a play week against KC. Expect some garbage stats from him.

Tua – He is supposed to be back, and he is going up against a susceptible Steelers D who will give up some stats. If he doesn’t play, Teddy is not a bad option against them either.

Matt Ryan – This dude is as hot and cold, boom and bust as they come. I say he booms by busting another one this week.

RB:

Kenyan Drake – Has he taken over the duties, or was he just the hot hand? I say he gets another shot this week and shines against the Elven Brownies who have given up the most rushing TDS so far this year.

Polard/Elliot – Even if Dak plays, I expect the boys to lean heavily on the run against the Lions. No reason they both can’t shine, again.

Kenneth Walker – You sold yet? He in your starting lineup? He should be this week going up against the Chargers who have given up the most rushing yards per carry so far this season.

WR:

Brandon Aiyuk had him a game this past week. I expect KC to hawk Samuel leaving Aiyuk plenty of opportunities to shine once again. Maybe some of those garbage stats Jimmy G will get will be given to him.

Diontae Johnson – Like some other teams, you never know who will get the stats with this Steelers WR corp. My guess is he will rebound after a poor game against a Dolphins D that is near the bottom in passing defense.

Even though they may rely heavily on their RBs, if Dak plays, I like the top Dallas WRs in this game against the Lions too. If you are searching for a pot of gold, Michael Gallup might not be a bad option.

TE:

Hunter Hurst – The Falcons have been poor against tight ends so far this season. Hurst is a good sub for the week.

Is Gesicki back? Pittsburgh usually gives up stats to tight ends. I wouldn’t be surprised if he did well this week too.

Donald Parham is back with the chargers. Now the question is to play him or Everett. They are going up against a Seattle team who has given up stats to tight ends. My guess is parham gets the yards and Everett gets a TD. Either one might be a good option if your guy is on a bye.

D:

You probably should be playing the Pats D each week; they are worth it. If not, and they are available, you should definitely play them against the Bears.

I wouldn’t call the Falcons offense explosive, so with that in mind, if you need a plug and play D, the Bengals might not be a bad choice for this week.

Finally, I am sure you have not given up on the Ravens D, but in case you have, feel calm and relaxed and play them against the Elven Brownies. Ohm ohm ohm.
