Before we get into Week 7’s Sitters, let’s see what i got right and what i got wrong with the sitters from week 6.

QB: I was extremely right about sitting Wentz. He had no TDs and 99 yards passing. (Input vomiting sound). I also say i was right about Rodgers. He is just not statting it up this year. Expectations should officially be lowered. And, as I have denoted before, when someone gets hurt, nobody wins. Sorry Kenny.

RB: I was right about keeping Robinson on the bench, and Najee too, even though Najee got a little receiving touchdown. And, while i was wrong about Marriota leading the Falcons in rushing, i was right not to start one of their RBs. It looks like splittsville there without Patterson.

WR: What did i say? What did i say? Bears shut down McLaurin that is what i said. Well, he had 41 yards with no TD; that is basically a shut down. I hope you listened to me and benched him, as well as any Jets WRs too. Their statistical output was nasty. Regarding Lamb, for what you expect from your top WR, i was also right to bench Lamb. If you didn’t, well you got a below average output. I hope you did not have a better option on the bench staring back at you with those eyes. You know those eyes.

TE: I was right about benching Higbee and Conklin. Neither one did much of anything. Then, on the other side, who would have seen those stats come out of Hunter Henry. It is almost like he was back with the Chargers. So, i guess i was wrong to sit him.

D: I am happy that i was wrong about sitting all 3 D’s that i denoted to sit. I am glad for the Steelers beating the Bucs, for the Giants beating the Ravens, and for the Bills beating the Chiefs. I haven’t been this happy being this wrong since 2019.

It’s still Bye Week Season! It’s still Bye Week Season! With that out of the way, let’s see who is available to maybe consider not starting or benching this week regardless.

QB:

I like consistency. It keeps me warm and cozy. Carson Wentz is helping me feel that way. Keep him on the bench against the Pack.

Jared Goff – I think this is his first appearance on the sit list. Welcome to the club. Yes, we are all surprised it took you this long, but you and the Lions seem to have cooled off. Plus, you are playing the Cowboys this week. Have a seat buddy. You had a nice run.

David Carr – He is not having the season I thought he would. He is hovering around average. I say he goes below average against the Texans.

RB:

CEH: He is not getting the carries, but he gets the catches. The 49ers are the best in yard per rush in the league. Your only hope is a stockpile of catches for him. Not worth the risk for me.

Jeff Wilson: I am sorry, Jeff Wilson, Jr. The Chiefs are stout against the run, so the 49ers will have to rely on Jimmy G keeping them in, or playing catch up in this game.

Breece Hall: He has been on a solid run. (Har de har har.) The Broncos run D is good so don’t be surprised if he takes a step back this week.

WR:

Deandre Hopkins: Everybody expects him to come back and light up the world. Hold on partner. I say a dash of rust, a sprinkling of timing, and a whole lot of a Saints D probably focusing on him, especially due to Brown’s injury, makes me pull in the reins there a little bit.

McLaurin: Just like his boy Wentz, keep McLaurin on the bench against the team who is number one against the pass.

While Stevenson has emerged as the RB in New England, no WR has emerged as the top dog there. Due to this, and the fact the Bears are better against the pass, expect lots of Stevenson and not much passing. And since this is the sit article, let me simply things – sit all NE Wrs.

TE:

T.J. Hockenson: The Cowboys have been good against tight ends so far. I say they keep Hock in his place for the 2nd straight week.

Hunter Henry has had 2 good games in a row. I say he is due for a bad one, or should i just say a regular one. Gotcha.

Keep Conklin on the bench too. He is a boom or bust, or bust, or bust kind of a guy. I say another week of bust from him before he lets go of the dynamite.

D:

I am not saying do not play the 49ers D this week, but i am also not saying not to not play them either against the Chiefs.

Saints/Cards: This match up could be one of those games where both teams are really bad or really good offensively against each other. I wouldn’t trust either.

Colts/Titans: See previous note regarding Saints/Cards.
