Reaction to Week 4: First of all, I said to bench the Packers ground game against the Lions. Jones had 18 yards rushing and -4 yards receiving, while Dillon had 11 yards rushing and no yards receiving, and neither got a TD. I was right to sit both of them. I also said to play both kickers. I was wrong to play Carlson who only had 2 FGs, but I was right to play Patterson who saw Carlson’s 2 FGs and raised him 4 X-points. This leads me to my notation that both defenses were a good option too. Well, like the kickers, I was right about Detroit and wrong about Green Bay. Detroit got the W, gave up 20 points, had 5 sacks and 2 picks, while the Packers lost, gave up 34 points, had 2 sacks and a pick. So, a push for the kickers and the Ds as I was right about one and wrong on the other.
The fifth Thursday night game of the year has the Bears taking on the Commanders in the “nation’s capitol.” This game will probably be low scoring because I predict it will be a high scoring affair; therefore, you should not start either of these team’s defenses. Also, on the Bears side, D. J. Moore had a great game this past week and has a shot this week too, considering what Washington just gave up against A. J. Brown. On Washington’s side, I think Brian Robinson, Jr. is a borderline weekly starter, but with this first round of bye weeks now hitting us, this matchup is a good one for him to be considered.
