Reaction to Week 3:
There were lots of fantasy points to be had in Week 3. Let’s see if i called any of them. For the QBs, I said to start Deshaun Watson and Baker Mayfield. Watson had 289 yards passing, 16 yards rushing, and 2 TDs with no turnovers. I was right to start him. Meanwhile, Mayfield had 146 yards passing with 1 TD and a pick. I was wrong about him. For the backs, I said to start Najee Harris and Jerrick McKinnon. Well, McKinnon did not have many yards, but he got multiple TDs just like I predicted. I was right to start him. Najee had 65 yards with no TDs, so i was wrong to try and start him. On the wide outs, I said to start George Pickens and Chris Godwin. Pickens had 75 yards but no TD. This is slightly below average, thus I was wrong to start him. And Godwin, well he was worse with his 32 yards and a 2 point conversation. I was wrong to start him too. For the other wide outs, the tight ends, I said to start Kyle Pitts and Dalton Kincaid. Pitts led his team in receiving yards with a whopping 41, but he did not get a score so I was wrong to start him. Meanwhile, Kincaid had 3 yards receiving and also no TD. Not even close. I was wrong about him too. On the other side, I said to start the Lions and the Chiefs defenses. The Lions got the W, held Atlanta to 6 points, and had a fumble recovery and 7 sacks. You better believe I was right to start them. And the Chiefs, well they also got a W, held the Bears to 10 points, and had 2 forced turnovers along with 3 sacks. Another good call on my part.
Week 4:
QB:
Daniel Jones: He has a prime time game Monday night against a Seattle D that is 2nd worse per yards against the pass. Here’s his chance.
Russell Wilson: His defense is bad so that helps, and he has the Bears, who are at the bottom of the table against the pass. A plus B equals . . .
RB:
Najee Harris: Maybe I was a week early by starting him last week. He is going up against one of the worst run defenses in the Texans. It is a plus matchup.
Dameon Pierce: Speaking of the Texans, Pierce is also going up against one of the worse run defenses in the league so far, the Steelers. Looks like there is going to be a run-off in this game.
WR:
Nico Collins: Speaking of the Texans, again, the Steelers give up lots of stats to teams #1 wide outs. He is still the Texans number one receiver, right?
Adam Thielen: He is going up against his old club in the Vikings, a team that has given up a lot of passing yards so far. He just has to do well, right?
TE:
Gerald Everett: With Mike Williams out, and the back up wide outs still, well not Mike Williams, he should get more looks, which means more catches, which means, well, you get the drift.
Logan Thomas: Philly’s pass defense was better last week, but they have been more susceptible against tight ends than wide receivers. Combine that with the fact the Commanders will need to score, even in garbage time. And you know whose best friend is garbage time, the pass over the middle to a tight end.
Defense:
Chiefs: You could argue they are a regular D to start, and I would not disagree, but just in case, this is definitely a week to play them.
Vikings: Their D has not been good, but it will be good enough against Carolina to get their first one and be a solid play, if you need a better option for the week that is.
