Reaction to Week 3: Okay, let’s see how my prognostications of the sitters for week 3 turned out. On QB, I said to sit Love and Tannehill. The latter had 104 yards passing with no TDs, while the former had 259 yards passing, 39 yards rushing with 2 total TDs and 1 turnover. I was right to sit Tannehill but wrong to sit Love. Per RBs, I said to sit Brian Robinson, Jr. and Rachaad White. Robinson only had 70 yards rushing so I was right to sit him. Meanwhile, White had 38 yards rushing, 24 yards receiving, and a turnover. I was right to sit him too. On the wide outs, I said to sit Tee Higgins and Jerry Jeudy. Jeudy had 81 yards receiving, but with no score, this total is below average making me right to sit him. In his game, Higgins had 21 yards with no score, so I was more right telling you to sit him. For the ends of tightness, I said to sit Luke Musgrave and Chigoziem Okonkwo. They had 49 and 7 yards respectively, and neither had a TD. I was right to sit both of them. On the other side of the ball, I said to sit the Commanders and the Bucs Ds. The Commanders got the L, gave up 37 points, and had only a single pick as an extra. I was right to sit them. Meanwhile, the Bucs also lost, gave up 25 points, and had 2 picks. Closer, but still not good enough. I was right to sit them too.
Week 4:
QB:
Lamar Jackson: The Ravens haven’t been stellar and the Browns D has been. I hope you have a good backup or a squad that will make up for his lack of production.
Dak Prescott: He has the Pats this week, and they have had one of the top secondaries so far this season.
RB:
Alvin Kamara: 3 game suspension – check. Good Bucs run defense – check. Winston at QB, aka Mr. No Check Down to running backs quarterback – check. Play Kamara – uncheck.
James Conner: Speaking of a team with a good run defense, he is going up against the 49ers this week. Looks like a good week to sit him.
WR:
Mike Evans: Can he do 4 games in a row with a TD? Against a division rival? Against a top 5 defense? I don’t think so.
All Ravens WRs: None of them are doing any better than the others. None of them are even doing any better than the average wide out. Half of the starters are hurt. Cleveland’s D is legit. Do not go here.
TE:
Dallas Goedert: There are too many mouths to feed in Philly, and he is starting to starve. The Commanders have been pretty good against the position. Not a week to think he might produce.
David Njoku: He is also not producing as hoped and expected. He has an even better team in the Ravens to go up against. He should also be set back down.
Defense:
Bills: Not too often would you sit their D, but they have the Dolphins, and while it was against the Broncos, who just put up a 70 burger. They won’t get 70 against the Bills, but the possibility of a loss and severe damage looms.
Commanders: Speaking of severe damage that is looming, the Commanders just gave up a large number this past week too, and now they have Philly, another highly potent offensive machine. Not worth the risk here.
