Reaction to Week 2: I hope my week 2 sitters were right and/or did not hurt you, whether you listened, or did not listen to me. Anyway, let’s see how my week 2 starters sat, or stood last week. First of all, at QB, I said to sit Joe Burrow and Aaron Rodgers. Burrow had 258 yards passing, 2 TDs, and a lost fumble. Just over making me wrong to sit him. Meanwhile, Rodgers, had 176 yards passing and 2 TDs. Also just over making me wrong to sit him too. At RB, I said to sit Travis Etienne, Jr. and Dallas RBs. Etienne only had 52 yards, but he got a TD so I ended up being wrong to sit him. In Dallas, Elliott had 16 yards, 16 yards receiving, and no score, while Dowdle got 30 yards rushing, 29 yards receiving and also with no score. I was right to sit both of them. At wide out, I said to sit Stefon Diggs and Packers WRs. In Green Bay, the top scoring wide out was Wicks with 26 yards and a score, while the rest of them had no scores, with 62 yards for Doubs and 9 yards for Reed. I say a push here because of the sole TD. Meanwhile, DIggs ended up with 37 yards and no score, so I was right to sit him. At tight end, I said to sit Evan Engram and Dallas Goedert. Engram ended up getting hurt in warmups so I was right to sit him, but if you wildly picked up his backup Strange, then his 65 yards would be better than his projections making me wrong. So, we have another push here. In his game, Goedert had 38 yards with nothing else. I was right to sit him. Regarding team defenses, I said to sit the Saints and the Falcons. I am quite happy I was wrong about the Saints for they got the W, held Dallas to 19 points, got 3 sacks and 2 picks. In their game, the Falcons got the upset win holding the Eagles to 21 points along with a sack and a pick. I was wrong, just like the way the Eagles blew that game.
QB:
Anthony Richardson: He has not been a stat maker this year. Plus, he is going up against a solid Bears D this week. No thanks.
Trevor Lawrence: 2 poor games plus a Bills D that has been solid so far. No thanks here too.
RB:
Cowboys RBs: So nice, let’s sit them twice. Keep dem boys down on your bench. Both of them.
J. K. Dobbins: His strong start will hit a speed bump this week against a Steelers D that has started off strong against the run.
WR:
Drake London: All he does is catch short yardage. Add this to the fact he is going up against a solid KC secondary.
Michael Pittman, Jr.: Just like London, he has been a short yardage man so far this year. Add this to the fact he is going up against a solid Bears secondary. It’s like deja vu all over again.
TE:
Zach Ertz: He is going up against a Bengals D that just held Kelce to one catch for 5 yards. A fluke or are they good against the position?
Saints tight ends: To also include Taysom Hill if he plays. The Eagles have given up some yards, but they have played pretty well against the position so far this year.
D:
Broncos: Solid D, but on the road against a solid offensive team in Tampa. Not a good matchup.
Giants: They haven’t been too bad either, but they are going up against a Cleveland team that is top 5 in D. While the Browns offense is not that good, their D combined with their offense is > the Giants D with their offense.
