Before we get into Week 3’s Sitters, let’s see what i got right and what i got wrong with the sitters from week 2.
QB: I was right about Trubisky and Jones. Jones was better and will be better, but i am not sure he will light things up. Do not start Trubisky, like ever – KENNY, KENNY, KENNY. I guess if you have 3 TDS and 2 INTs, you are a boom or bust kind of guy. I’ll take that. Makes me right about Stafford and all around.
RB: While Harris got a few more receiving yards, it is still not there for him. Still not promoting him as a starter, but you know you are still going to play him, so why am I still even including him. I was also right about still not starting Akers and Pierce. Pierce did okay; he might be trending the other way, but we need to see Lovie give him more touches.
WR: I am right about the Bucs WRs and now that Evans is suspended a game, there is no telling who Brady will throw the ball to next week. I am calling Lamb’s stats a right for me. You need more than that from a WR1. And then there is Mooney. Oh god, I was so right. That passing attack, if you can call it that, is atrocious in Chicago.
TE: Right. Right and Right. Did Brate, Pitts, and Kmet even play?
D: I would have been right about the Texans if they had an offense who could keep their d off the field. I was right about sitting the Vikings D, but way off on the Eagles. They played like I thought they would have played against the Lions in week 1. Then there are the Chiefs and Chargers. I was wrong here. You know what that means. If these 2 offenses have defenses too, they will be a force throughout the year.
With that out of the way, let’s get into this week’s games and who you should, maybe consider not starting or benching this week
QB:
Carson Wentz: Unless they feel bad for their former teammate, the Eagles D should do to him what they did to Cousins on Monday night.
Justin Fields: He is just not a good statistical quarterback. Plus the Texans D has not been bad this year. I expect lots of RB play in this game.
Aaron Rogers: Dare you bench him? What has he done for you so far this year? Not much. And now, on the road against a solid D in Tampa. Again, another game where the RBs may dominate.
RB:
Ravens RBs: Still not sure who to play here. No one has set themselves apart. Plus, the Pats have not been bad against the run so far this year.
Jets RBs: See Ravens note, except the Pats part, well obviously.
Javonte Williams: The D is strong in San Francisco.
WR:
Pittsburgh WRs: As long as Trubisky is the QB, neither of the core will shine.
Bucs WRs: I know that Mike Evans is out, but who will step up. If you know the answer to this, then let me give you $20 the next time you go to Vegas.
Packers WRs: This one is still to be determined as well. Maybe they have transitioned to a running team, or maybe Rogers is ready to rest his arm and milk a few more years and a few more dollars from the Pack since Mahomes is taking his insurance money away.
TE:
Austin Hooper: I thought Tannehill was better and would give Hooper some love, but not so far this year.
Gesicki: Put him back on the bench. Not gonna happen again this week.
Okwuegbunam: He has not produced and have i mentioned that San Fran’s defense is pretty good this year?
D:
Colts: They are going against the Chiefs. Should i say more? No. Thanks. I thought so.
Lions: They have given up some stats and they are going up against the Vikings who got embarrassed Monday night. I expect a shoot out here.
Jags: Yeah, they have been solid, but they are going into Los Angeles against a potent Chargers offense.
