Reaction to Week 17: Okay, let’s see if my starters for this past week were fruitful or less. First off, at QB, I said to start Derek Carr and Kyler Murray. In his game, Carr had 197 yards passing and 2 TDs. I was right to start him. Murray had 232 yards passing, 24 yards rushing, 3 TDs, and a pick. I was more right to start him. For the RBs, I said to start Austin Ekeler and D’Andre Swift. Swift had 61 yards rushing and nothing else. I was wrong to start him. I was more wrong to start Ekeler who ended up with no points in my league due to his fumble and only obtaining 46 yards rushing. For the WRS, I said to start Jerry Jeudy and Rashee Rice. Jeudy had 54 yards and nothing else. I continue to be wrong. Rice ended up with 127 yards receiving and nothing else. I was right to start him. On TEs, I said to start Darren Waller and Okonkwo. Okonkwo did not extend his TD streak and only obtained 34 yards, so I was right to start him. Waller was better with 51 yards and nothing else. Still not good enough though, so I was wrong to start him too. For the team defenses, I said to start the Eagles and the Raiders. The Eagles lost, gave up 35 points, along with 1 sack and 1 pick. Abysmal. I was wrong. The Raiders also lost, gave up 23 points, along with just 1 sack, thereby making me wrong to start them too.
Week 18, our last week of the season. Hooray! I mean, boo. Let’s see who is left and still worth playing this final week.
QB:
Tyrod Taylor: Is he is a Hail Mary play of the week? He has the Eagles passing D that continues to be lit up. They have given up the 2nd most passing TDs this year. Taylor could have a multi TD game here.
Jordan Love: While the Bears have been middle of the pack in yards allowed, they are bottom 5 in passing TDs allowed and bottom 3 in sacks obtained. He should have the time to pick and choose. Maybe even have a field day against the Bears.
RB:
Rachaad White: Carolina has allowed the most rushing TDs so far, and White had a solid game the last time out against them. Expect the same.
Zamir White: Jacobs is not expected to play, and White has done well in Jacobs absence. This, plus he has a plus matchup against the porous rush D in Denver. Good odds.
WR:
Brandin Cooks: He is going up against the worst pass D in the league in Washington. He will get his too.
D. J. Chark: With Mingo out, he will get the big play balls against a Bucs team that has given up the most passing yards so far this year.
TE:
Dallas Goedert: He had one of his highest yardage outputs against the Giants a few weeks ago. Probably will do the same this week, maybe even score a TD to end the year on.
Taysom Hill: New Orleans will pull out all the stops to get a win and hopefully a playoff run. They will try all the plays: passing, running, and receiving, and probably all in one play by the same guy. The Swiss Army knife.
Defense:
Eagles: Call it a hunch, but I say they right some wrongs and have a solid game against the Giants heading into the playoffs.
Jets: Put them back in for they should do well at NE, who has a below average offense.
