Reaction to Week 16: Hope your holidays are going well. Maybe even your fantasy football team too. Let’s see how I did in the early games last week. For QB, I said to bench the Steelers QB, which ended up being Mason Rudolph. Well, he delivered a successful Christmas for Steelers fans for he ended up with 290 yards passing and 2 TDs. I am an idiot. Going against someone named Rudolph right before Christmas. Stupid me. I was wrong to sit him. At RB, I said to start Joe Mixon. He had 43 yards rushing, 7 yards receiving, and a 2 point conversation. I was wrong about starting him. At WR, I said to start Gabe Davis. He had 130 yards receiving and a TD. Nice. I was quite right to start him. Then, at tight end, I said to start Tyler Higbee. He had 30 yards receiving and nothing else. I was wrong to start him. And for team defenses, I said to sit the Saints D. They lost, gave up 30 points, and had one tiny sack. I was right to sit them.

Week 17 brings us our last pre- Sunday games in this next to last week of the season. There are 2 of these games, one Thursday night, which is the Jets vs the Browns and one Saturday, which is the Lions at Dallas. So, from these 2 games, I would sit red hot Joe Flacco. This week he finally faces a team passing defense that is not below average to crappy. The Jets will bring him back down to Earth. Speaking of benching people, I would bench Tony Pollard this week too. He has had a tough stretch recently against some teams with good run defenses, and it doesn’t end this week against a solid Lions rush D. Let’s go back to the Browns Jets game. While the Jets are good against the pass, they have been much better against wideouts than tight ends. With that being noted, keep starting David Njoku. He might be the only one that Flacco will be able to get the ball too. Finally, I would be comfortable starting either the Jets or the Browns team defenses. Whoever ends up losing will probably still do enough on the extra side to make up for the L they will receive.  Alright. That is it for the special editions. See you on the flippity flop.
