Reaction to Week 16: Hope you had a festivus for the rest of us as you started who needed to be started. Let’s see if my picks were full of toys for all the girls and boys. First off, at QB, I said to start Kyler Murray and Aaron Rodgers. In his game, Rodgers got 256 yards passing, 1 TD, and a lost fumble. I was wrong to start him. Murray ended up with 202 yards passing, 63 yards rushing, 2 TDs, and 2 turnovers. Just over, barely, making me right to start him. At RB, I said to start Jerome Ford and Jonathan Taylor. Ford got 92 yards rushing, 39 yards receiving, and a TD. I was right to start him. Taylor only got 218 yards rushing and 3 TDs making me extra right to start him. At wideout, I said to start Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Malik Nabors. Smith-Njigba got 95 yards receiving and a TD. I was right to start him. Nabors was only able to get 68 yards receiving and nothing else, making me wrong to start him. At tight end, I said to start Jake Ferguson and Chig Okonkwo. Ferguson got 40 yards receiving and nothing else, so I was wrong to start him. Chig got 81 yards and nothing else too, but for this position, good enough to say I was right to start him. For the team defenses, I said to start the Falcons and the Bills. The Falcons won, held the Giants to 7 points, along with 3 sacks, a fumble recovery, 2 picks, and 2 defensive scores. I was right to start them. The Bills also won, gave up 21 points to the Pats, along with a sack, a pick, 2 fumble recoveries, and a defensive score as well. I was right to start them too. Since there are only 10 games on Sunday and Monday this week, let’s do the same as this week’s early games: 1 QB to start (and sit), 1 RB to start (and sit), 1 WR to start (and sit), 1 TE to start (and sit), and 1 team defense to start (and sit).
QB:
Tua Tagovailia – Not much from him the last couple of weeks, but he has a favorable match-up against a beatable Browns secondary. Plus, he should get more chances since the Browns offense is poo-centric.
RB:
Breece Hall – Nothing to write home about him this year except a few games here and there. He has a chance to do some damage this week against a beatable Buffalo rush D.
WR:
Adam Thielen – 99 yards and a TD the last time out against Tampon Bay. Expect the same as they will be playing from behind for most of the game.
TE:
Chig Okonkwo – Ride the hot tight end hand. He faces a Jags pass D that is near the bottom of the league in all categories related to the position.
D:
Cots – The Colts’ D is not one to normally start, but if you need a sub for this week, then they and their matchup against the lowly Giants will do.
