Reaction to Week 16: These starters are still shining, are you? Are mine? Let’s see how my starter suggestions panned out last week. First of all, at QB, I said to start Baker Mayfield and Joe Flacco. Flacco got 368 yards passing, 3 TDs, and 2 picks. I was right to start him. Mayfield got 283 yards passing and 2 TDs. I was right to start him as well. At RB, I said to start Ezekiel Elliott and D’Andre Swift. Elliott had 27 yards rushing, 33 yards passing, and a TD. I was just right to start him. Swiftie had 92 yards rushing and a TD. I continue to be right. For the wide outs, I said to start Calvin Ridley and Garrett Wilson. Ridley had 90 yards receiving and 2 TDs. Damn, it feels good to be a gangster. Meanwhile, Wilson had 76 yards and nothing else. Of course it was a Jet to make me finally be wrong to start someone. For the TEs, I said to start Waller and Okonkwo. Okonkwo got his first TD of the year, just like I said he would. He also had 63 yards receiving making me right to start him. Waller ended up with 32 yards and nothing else, thereby making me wrong to start someone once again. For the team defenses, I said to start the Colts and the Panthers. The Colts lost, gave up 29 points, and had one sack. I was wrong to start them. The Panthers also lost, gave up 33 points and also only had one sack, thereby making me wrong to start them as well.

Week 17 is here and we are almost done with the year. If you are reading this, you are probably either not playing in a playoff system or you are in a championship game. Either way, congrats. Let’s see who you should start to take you over the top.

QB:

Derek Carr: He was bad against the Bucs earlier this year, but this Bucs D has gotten worse since. They are now the worst in passing yards allowed so far this season.

Kyler Murray: This might be his best game this year going up against an Eagles pass D that has given up the 2nd most passing TDs and tied for 3rd in least INTs obtained. Signs are good.

RB:

Austin Ekeler: Keep him in. His usage went back up a tick with the interim coach, plus he is going up against a Denver rush D that is next to last in rushing yards allowed and are also worst in the league in ypc.

D’Andre Swift: Keep him in too. I was right to start him last week, and this week I will be too, for he is going up against the Cards who have given up the most rushing yards and are bottom 5 in rushing TDs allowed and ypc.

WR:

Jerry Jeudy: Sutton is out, so he will pull into the #1 slot against a Chargers D that is bottom 3 in all passing categories.

Rashee Rice: His targets, catches, and yards have been best in his last 5 games, and this week he has a bottom 5 pass D in Cincy who just got lit up by a reindeer. All the signs are there.

TE:

Darren Waller: I was wrong to start him last week, but this week, this week is when you should really start him as he goes up against a Rams pass D that is bottom of the league against the position.

Chigoziem Okonkwo: I was right he would get his 1st TD last week, and this week he has a Texans D that is also at the bottom of the table against the position. Keep him in. He should keep rollin’. Homie.

Defense:

Eagles: They have not been a startable defense all year. This week against the Cardinals they are.

Raiders: It took many weeks, but I guess I will finally buy into the Raiders. Their D is playing well, and they should do well against an average Colts offense.
