Reaction to Week 16: Hope you had a Happy XMAS holiday season, or whichever holiday tradition you follow. Let’s see if your stockings were full of coal and sat who I said to sit. First off, at QB, I said to sit Jayden Daniels and Jared Goff. In his game, Goff got 335 passing yards and 3 TDs. I was quite wrong to sit him. Daniels ended up with 258 yards passing, 81 yards rushing, 5 TDs, and 2 picks. I was wrong to sit him too. At RB, I said to sit Brian Robinson, Jr. and Kenneth Walker. Robinson got 24 yards rushing, 17 yards receiving, and lost 2 fumbles. I was right to sit him. Walker ended up with 31 yards rushing, 28 yards receiving, and nothing else. I was right to sit him too. At wide out, I said to sit Jauan Jennings and Calvin Ridley. Jennings ended up with 51 yards receiving and nothing else, thereby making me right to sit him. Ridley got 78 yards receiving and a TD so I was wrong to sit him. At tight end, I said to sit Kyle Pitts and Mike Gesicki. Pitts had 7 yards receiving and nothing else, making me right to sit him. Gesicki did better with a whopping 14 yards receiving, but he also got nothing else, so I was right to sit him too. For the team defenses, I said to sit the Browns and the Rams. The Browns lost, gave up 24 points, along with 4 sacks and a fumble recovery. Not quite there, so I was right to sit them. The Rams, however, won, gave up only 9 points, along with 2 fumble recoveries and a sack. I was wrong to sit them. Since there are only 10 games on Sunday and Monday this week, let’s do the same as this week’s early games: 1 QB to sit (and start), 1 RB to sit (and start), 1 WR to sit (and start), 1 TE to sit (and start), and 1 team defense to sit (and start).

QB:

Sam Darnold – He did well against Green Bay earlier this year, but this secondary has gotten better since then as they now rank as the #1 pass D in the league. Worth the risk?

RB:

Brian Robinson, Jr., – He has been all over the place this year on my start sit columns, and in this next to last week, we keep him benched. He faces a Falcons rush D that is tied for the least amount of rushing TDs so far this year.

WR:

Jerry Jeudy – Gimpy and a crappy QB does not bode well for him. Add that to the fact the Dolphins secondary is currently ranked #1 against wide receivers – for sure a no go.

TE:

Jake Ferguson – Tough matchup this week against a Philly pass D that is top 3 in the league in least amount of passing yards to tight ends. Not worth the risk.

D:

Falcons – Don’t be fooled by their last 2 games. Their D will not look the same and produce the same on the road against a top flight team in Washington.
