Reaction to Week 16: Our pre-Christmas early games are done and accounted for. Are you still reading this article? Let’s see how I did. First of all, at QB, I said to sit C. J. Stroud. In his game, Stroud had 244 yards passing, 23 yards rushing, 2 TDs, and 2 picks. Just under, making me right to sit him. For the running backs, I said to sit Najee Harris. In his game, Harris ended up with 42 yards rushing and nothing else, so I was right to sit him. For wideout, I said to start Courtland Sutton. He ended up with 50 yards receiving and nothing else. I guess it was Tampa; I was wrong to start him. For tight end, I said to ride the hot hand of Pat Freiermuth. He ended up with only 16 yards receiving and nothing else so I was wrong to start him. And for the team defenses, I said to start the Broncos. They ended up losing, giving up 34 points, along with 2 sacks and a pick. I was wrong to start them in LA.

Our final early edition games gives us 6 to choose from: 2 on Wednesday, 1 on Thursday, and 3 more on Saturday. Let’s do a start and sit from each category. No hesitations here; I have some presents still left to wrap.

QB:

Start: Kyler Murray – His best fantasy output so far this year was a game earlier in the year against the Rams. Should be another good one for him this week too.

Sit: Russell Wilson – Especially if still no Pickens, but even so with, as he faces a tough Kansas CIty D that will get pressure on him, and he will make mistakes like what happened against Baltimore last week.

RB:

Start: D’Andre Swift – This is his first favorable matchup in a while. He should have more touches per game script, thus more opportunities against a beatable Seahawks rush D.

Sit: Joe Mixon – All or nothing. He is going up against a Ravens rush D this week that has given up the least amount of rushing yards so far this year. This means nothing.

WR:

Start: Xavier Worthy – The Steelers secondary is broken and injury plagued at the wrong time of the year. And what kills backup pass defenders? Speed. I expect a long TD out of him this game.

Sit: Cooper Kupp – Based on his recent numbers, and the fact he faces a top 5 pass D in Arizona regarding passing TDs allowed, I say keep him benched.

TE:

Start: Dalton Schultz – He faces a Ravens team that has been susceptible to the position at times this year. Combine that with the Tank Dell injury, and Schultz should get more targets, touches, and yards.

Sit: Hunter Henry – He has been getting the ball recently, but he faces a top 3 pass D against the position in the Chargers. Not worth the risk.

D:

Start: Chargers – Their D has been questionable of recent, but it should get back on track this week against a Pats O that is not very dynamic.

Sit: Steelers – Other than the fact that they are injury hit right now, they face a Chiefs team that has the gods and the refs on their side. Not enough extras to overcome the gods and the refs.
