Reaction to Week 15: Fifteen down and 3 to go. Playoffs for some. Home stretch for some. And, already eliminated for others. For those of you still around, let’s see how my starters led you to glory. First off, at QB, I said to start Aaron Rodgers and Bryce Young. In his game, Aaron Rodgers did not get his 2nd 300 yard game, but he did get 289 yards passing, 45 yards rushing, and 3 TDs. I was right to start him. Young got 219 yards passing, 12 yards rushing, 2 TDs, and 4 turnovers. I was not right to start him. At RB, I said to start Brian Robinson, Jr. and Aaron Jones. Robinson ended up with 65 yards rushing, 22 yards receiving, and nothing else. I was wrong to start him. Jones, meanwhile, accumulated 86 yards rushing, 20 yards receiving, and a TD. I was right to start him. At wide out, I said to start Calvin Ridley and Jakobi Meyers. Ridley got 19 yards rushing, 41 yards receiving, and nothing else. I was wrong to start him. Meyers ended up with 59 yards receiving and nothing else, so I was wrong to start him too. At tight end, I said to start Jake Ferguson and Kyle Pitts. Fergie ended up with 23 yards receiving and nothing else, so I was wrong to start him. Pitts, however, got 28 yards receiving and nothing else, so I was wrong to start him too. For the team defenses, I said to start the Commanders and the Browns. The Commanders won, gave up 19 points to the Saints, along with 3 sacks and a pick. I was right to start them. The Browns did not win, held the Chiefs to only 21 points, along with nothing else. The lack of a win or extras makes me wrong to have started them. It is getting close, can you feel it? Let’s jump into Week 16.
QB:
Kyler Murray: Statistically speaking, this week in Carolina, will be, for the whole year, the worst pass D that he will face. So, good match up.
Aaron Rodgers: Keep on doubling down on your new favorite old QB as he faces a bottom 10 pass D in the Rams this week.
RB:
Jerome Ford: No Chubb? No problem. Get a Ford. Sturdy. Dependable. Capable of producing when needed.
Jonathan Taylor: Nothing exciting from him this year, but he has a very beatable matchup in Tennessee this week.
WR:
Jaxon Smith-Njigba: He is slowly becoming the #1 wide out in Seattle, at least the numbers show this. He has a plus matchup against a bottom 3 pass D in Minnesota.
Malik Nabers: Too bad there is no good QB in New York. He has a chance regardless this week as he faces a Falcons pass D that has allowed the most touchdowns to wide outs so far.
TE:
Jake Ferguson: He faces a Tampa team that has given up the 2nd most passing yards to tight ends so far this year. Chances will be there.
Chig Okonkwo: Take his solid game last week and a match up this week against a Colts team that has given up the 2nd most passing TDs to tight ends so far, and you have a great substitute if your starter has a bad match up.
D:
Falcons: Their D has been hit or miss this year. I say against the paltry Giants, it will be a back to back hit for them.
Bills: They have given up some serious points the last 2 weeks. No worries. They have the Patriots this week so the results should be different.
