Reaction to Week 15: In this, no one wants to really win game, I first noted to bench Deebo Samuel. He ended up with16 receiving yards, 72 return yards, and nothing else. I was right to sit him. After that, I said to start your studs, who did not end up doing much, and to bench your duds, who also did not end up doing much. So, between the studs and the duds, a push here. I also noted to play both kickers. Well, Karty had 4 field goals to Moody’s 2. I was right about Karty and wrong about Moody. I then noted to sit both defenses. The Rams won, held the 49ers to 6 points, along with 3 sacks and a pick. I was wrong to sit them. On the other side, the 49ers lost, gave up only 12 points, but they got no extras. The no extras made me right to sit them.

As we get to the holidays, there are more early games. Week 16 gives us a game on Thursday and 2 games on Saturday for the week. Let’s pick a QB, a RB, a WR, a TE, and a team defense to start or sit from these 3 games. Let’s get into the matter first with QB. For this position, I say bench C. J. Stroud; he is just not putting up the stats. Combine that with the fact that the Chiefs have a real good defense, the signs are there. At RB, I would also keep Najee Harris on the bench. His numbers against the Ravens will be similar to those he had against Philly. At wide out, I would start Courtland Sutton. Not sure if it was Tampa that exposed the Chargers pass D, or it was just Tampa being good, but looking at what Mike Evans just did against the Chargers, it is worth the risk of playing Sutton this week. At tight end, I would keep riding the hot hand of Freiermuth. Not only has he been consistently producing, but he matches up against a susceptible Ravens pass D that has given up some stats to tight ends this year. For the team defenses, I would start Denver on the road against the Chargers. The Broncos D is solid, and the Chargers, to me, feel like they are regressing as the season unfolds.
