Reaction to Week 13: Was Thanksgiving and Black Friday good to you? Were my picks good to you? Let’s see. First of all, I said to sit Tua. He ended up with 368 yards passing and 2 TDs. I was wrong to sit him. At RB, I said to sit D’Andre Swift. He ended up with 39 yards rushing, 35 yards passing, and nothing else. I was right to sit him. At wide out, I said to start CeeDee Lamb. He ended up with only 39 yards receiving and nothing else. I was wrong to start him. I also noted to sit the Cowboys’ tight end, who ended up being Schoonmaker. He gathered up with 33 yards receiving and nothing else, so I was right to sit him. Finally, I said to start the Cowboys D. They ended up winning, holding the Giants to 20 points, along with a fumble recovery, 6 sacks, a pick, and a defensive score. I was right to start them.
Week 14 brings us back to just one game on a Thursday, and it is another division rival game. This time it has huge playoff seeding implications as the Packers travel to Detroit to take on the Lions. In this pivotal game, I would consider benching Josh Jacobs. He has a calf injury and Detroit is top 3 in the league against the run. Not a good matchup for him. I would also sit Tucker Kraft with the Pack too. While the Lions have not been top against the pass, they have been top against tight ends. They are number one in the league against the position. Finally, I would sit Jared Goff. He has been a bit hi/low this year, and against a very good Packers secondary, I said he will be low this week.
