Reaction to Week 12: Ugh, what a white out game. Well, Pittsburgh played down to the level of Cleveland’s talents and abilities so I guess I over thought myself, and I was right when I was wrong that the game would be a trap game for them. Cleveland ended up winning, holding Pittsburgh to 19 points, along with a fumble recovery and 4 sacks, thereby making me wrong to start Pittsburgh’s D over Cleveland’s. I also stated to start Russell Wilson. He ended up with 270 yards passing, 10 yards rushing, a TD, and a lost fumble; I was wrong to start him too. Finally, I said to start Jerry Jeudy. He ended up with 85 yards receiving and nothing else. Solid yardage and actually more than projected, so I was right to start him.
Lucky number 13 brings us to Thanksgiving week, and just like before, I will pick a QB, a RB, a WR, a TE, and a team defense from the 3 games on Thanksgiving day and the 1 game on the day after. Let’s get into it, I have some cooking to do. First off, at QB, I say to sit Tua this week. The Packers pass D has been solid all year. He is not worth the risk on the road this week with all teams playing. At RB, let’s also sit D’Andre Swift with the Bears. He will be going up against a Lions rush D that is top 3 in the league (against the rush). So, let’s sub him out too. At wide out, let’s put CeeDee Lamb back in the line-up. The Cowboys face a Giants team that is somehow worse than the Cowboys. Lamb should get plenty of looks and opportunities in this one. At TE, let’s get back to the sitters and sit whichever of Ferguson and Schoonmaker starts for the Cowboys. While the Giants have not been stupendous as a unit, their D against the tight end position has been top 3. Finally, and staying in this game, let’s give the Cowboys some love again and play their team D. They just pulled off a victory against Washington, and, as noted, they play a team worse than them in the New York football Giants. Feel confident dem boys will win their traditional Thanksgiving day game. Alright, I hear the timer going off. Good luck and Happy Thanksgiving!
