Reaction to Week 12: Alright, let’s see how we did Thanksgiving weekend. Hopefully, it was a good holiday. At QB, I said to start Derek Carr and Joshua Dobbs. Carr had 304 yards passing and a pick. I was wrong to start him. Dobbs, in his prime time game, had 163 yards passing, 11 yards rushing, 1 TD and 4 picks. Pee you. I was wrong to start him. For the RBs, I said to start Rhamondre Stevenson and Kyren Williams. Stevenson had 98 yards rushing and a TD. I was right to start him. And Williams, he did come back with vengeance as i prognosticated. He had 143 yards rushing, 61 yards receiving, and 2 TDs. I was very right to start him. On the wide outs, I said to start Zay Flowers and Michael Pittman, Jr. Flowers had 37 yards rushing, 25 yards receiving, and 2 TDs. I was right to start him. Pittman had 107 yards receiving and nothing else. Just above average expectations so I was right to start him too. For the tight ends, I said to start Isaiah Likely and Kyle Pitts. Likely led his team in yardage but with only 40 yards and nothing else. I was wrong to start him. Pitts had 22 yards and nothing else as well, so I was wrong to start him too. For the team defenses, I said to start the Titans and Giants. The Titans got the W, held the Panthers to 10 points, had 4 sacks, along with a fumble recovery. I was right to start them. In their game, the Giants also got the W, held the Pats to 7 points, had 2 sacks and 3 picks. I was right to start them too.Okay, not too shabby. This brings us to week 13, the last of the mega bye weeks. Let see who is out there that might be of some service to us this week.
Week 13:
QB:
Kenny Pickett: It’s the hope that kills you. Without Canada and state’s exhibit A last week, there is hope in Pickett this week against a very vulnerable Cardinals pass D.
Jake Browning: Why not? He did not do bad in his first start, and this week he is going up against a worse pass D in Jacksonville. Roll the dice.
RB:
Rachaad White: He has a Panthers team that is tied for the most rushing TDs allowed so far this year. Good sub option.
Jaylen Warren: After Najee had his best game of the year, it makes karmic sense that Warren gets his against a Cards team that has given up the 2nd most rushing TDs and yards this year.
WR:
Courtland Sutton: Put him back in your lineup. His next TD streak will start back up this week against the Texans.
Marquise Brown: The Steelers usually give up the stats to a team’s #1 receiver. He should be able to produce against the bend, no break D in Pittsburgh.
TE:
Juwan Johnson: Saints receivers are dropping like the proverbial flies. He should benefit with more targets, which means more catches, which means more yards, which means. You got it.
Hunter Henry: Not a regular person to start, I know. Trust me, I know. But, he does have a matchup against the Chargers. They will give up some passing yards, and why not him. Why not him!
Defense:
Chargers: Not sure the last time I said to start the Chargers D, but if you need a sub this week, they are not a bad option against the lowly Patriots.
Buccaneers: Like the Chargers, the Bucs D has not been a top one this year, but they also have a plus matchup this week. Theirs is against the lowly, offensively offense of the Panthers.
