Reaction to Week 11: I hope your starters did better than mine last week. Let’s see how I did. At QB, I said to start Jordan Love and Brock Purdy. In his game, Love had 322 yards passing and 2 TDs. I was right to start him. In his game, Purdy had 333 yards passing, 14 yards rushing, and 3 TDs. Even better. I was right to start him too. At RB, I said to start Brian Robinson, Jr. and Devin Singletary. Robinson had 73 yards rushing and 58 yards receiving. Just over average making me right to start him. Singletary had 112 yards rushing and a TD, even better. I was right to start him too. For the WRs, I said to start Stefon Diggs and Terry McLaurin. McLaurin had 43 yards receiving and nothing else; I was wrong to start him. Diggs, meanwhile, somehow was worse gathering only 27 yards receiving and nothing else. I was wrong here too. For the TEs, I said to start Trey McBride and David Njoku. McBride had 43 yards receiving and nothing else. I was wrong to start him. Njoku was better with 56 yards, but he also got nothing else making me wrong to start him too. For the team defenses, I said to start the Commanders and the Jaguars. The Commanders lost, gave up 31 points, and had 9 sacks. These sacks make it close, but still not enough making me wrong to start them. The Jags got the W, held the Titans to 14 points, along with 2 sacks and 2 fumble recoveries. That’s more like it. I was right to start them. Okay. Time to get into post turkey day games.
Week 12:
QB:
Derek Carr: The Falcons have not had many interceptions and have given up lots of passing TDs but with little yards. This is a good combo for him – a high floor low ceiling type of output.
Joshua Dobbs: If he hasn’t taken over as your starter, play him this week against the Bears – they have given up the 2nd most passing TDs so far.
RB:
Rhamondre Stevenson: He has the Giants who have given up the most rushing TDs, 2nd most rushing yards, and 2nd highest ypc so far this year.
Kyren Williams: He is supposed to play and should come back with a vengeance against a Cards team that he shredded for 158 yards and a TD in week 6.
WR:
Zay Flowers: With no Mark Andrews and a Chargers D that is bottom in the league against the pass, he could shine this week.
Michael Pittman, Jr.: He has the Bucs who have given up the 3rd most passing yards and are in the top 10 in most passing TDs allowed. Good match up here for him.
TE:
Isaiah Likely: Don’t be afraid to pick up and play him. He has produced in the past when Andrews went down with injuries, and this week he has a Chargers D that is one of the worst against the position.
Kyle Pitts: He hasn’t done anything of recent, but he has a Saints team that is turning out to be a bottom 3 team against the position. Good match up for him.
Defense:
Titans: They haven’t been a solid start most of the year, but they are at home against an offense deficient Panthers team. Good sub option if needed.
Giants: Their D hasn’t been bad; it’s just their offense is poor, and their D has to play a lot. Last week, their offense saw some improvements. Combine this hopeful possibility with a struggling Patriots team coming into town, I would think the Giants have a real shot here.
