Reaction to Week 11: This was a better game than the previous week, I assume, since I did not watch that one. Unfortunately, there were injuries galore. I said that both defenses were a good play in this game, but a push here because only Baltimore’s D showed up. They got the W, held Cincy to 20 points, and had 5 sacks, while Cincy lost, gave up 34 points, and had 3 sacks. I also said both kickers would be good starters in this game too. Both were slightly above average, so I was right to start both of them. Finally, I said, of the Baltimore RBs, Mitchell would be the best play here. Curse you Harbaugh. Curse you Edwards. I was wrong here. Not sure how much action Mitchell will get from here on out, but the likelihood that Edwards gets all the sniffs around the goal line is pretty strong.
For this Thanksgiving week, I am going to do things a little bit different. Instead of just the one game, I will pick out either a starter or a sitter from QB, RB, WR, TE, and team defense from the 3 games on Thanksgiving and the one game on Black Friday. Okay, let’s get started, I got some grocery shopping to go do. At QB, I offer a sitter in the name of Jared Goff. He started the season strong, but he has cooled off. He is going up against a Packer D that is solid and held their own against him the first time these 2 teams played this year. At RB, I offer you another sitter – Breece Hall. He is going up against the Dolphins, a team that just held Joshua Jacobs to 39 yards rushing on 2.8 yards per carry. Why would I think Hall could do any better than that? I don’t. For WR, I finally offer you a starter option, but a starter only if your team is crappy or you have no legitimate sub options this week. My offer is Brandin Cooks. Lamb will get his, but with Washington’s poor defense, the likelihood is good that another receiver could shine. At TE, I stay in this game, but I move over to Washington in Logan Thomas. While he hasn’t done much recently, the chances the Commanders get down and need to play catch up is great. Lots of late game opportunities for garbage stats is highly possible here. Finally, on the team defenses, I would sit the Jets D. I know they are good, and they are playing well, but I just do not see them winning against the Dolphins, nor do I see them getting enough extra stuff to overcome the loss. That’s it. Happy giving of thanks day. Go Pilgrims. Go Native Americans. Go in Peace.
