Reaction to Week 10: Did you hear? It was stick and stone week. Did you get stoned or stuck? Let’s see which happened to my starters. First of all, at QB, I said to start Geno Smith and Gardner Minshew. Minshew had 194 yards passing, no TDs and a pick. I was wrong to start him. Geno had 369 yards passing, 13 yards rushing, and 2 TDs. I was right to start him. For RBs, I said to start Rhamondre Stevenson and Bijan Robinson. Stevenson had 88 yards rushing, 14 yards receiving, and nothing else. Just above his projected average, so I was right to start him. Robinson had 95 yards rushing, 11 yards receiving, and a TD. I was right to start him too. For the wide outs, I said to start DeAndre Hopkins and Gabe Davis. Hopkins had 27 yards receiving and nothing else. I was wrong to start him. In his game, Davis led his team in receiving yards, but he only had 56 yards with no score. I was wrong to start him too. For the tight ends, I said to start Taysom Hill and Gerald Everett. Hill had 6 yards rushing, 17 yards receiving, and nothing else. I was wrong to start him, at this, and all the positions. Everett had 0 catches for 0 yards. In this high scoring game, how the bleep did this happen? I was wrong here too. For team defenses, I said to start the Chargers and the Titans. The Titans lost, gave up 20 points to the Bucs, and had 3 sacks along with a pick. Close – a push here. Meanwhile, the Chargers lost, gave up 41 points, and had nothing else. Not even close. I was wrong to start them. Okay, that’s it. Let’s see if I can do any better in this upcoming double single week.
Week 11:
QB:
Jordan Love: He is going up against a bottom D against the pass in the Chargers this week. There might be a shootout in this game like the Chargers had last week. Good sub option here.
Brock Purdy: Other than last week, he has kind of faded of recent, but he also has a good match-up against a bottom 3 D in the Bucs. Good sub option here too.
RB:
Brian Robinson, Jr.: He has been match-up dependent and his match-up this week against the lowly Giants, who have given up the most rushing TDs, is mouth-watering.
Devin Singletary: After a 150 yard game, a match-up against a bottom 5 rushing D, and another sit week for Pierce, the opportunities will be there again for him to show his worth.
WR:
Stefon Diggs: Don’t bench him. I know things are struggling in Buffalo, and he has the Jets this upcoming week, but trust me. Keep him in your line-up.
Terry McLaurin: He had his highest yardage so far this year the last time he played against the Giants. A TD against them this time? Chances are good.
TE:
Trey McBride: Fine. I will join the bandwagon, at least for this week. Could be a shoot out in Texas. If so, he should get some chances.
David Njoku: He has Pitt, a team he fumbled against earlier in the year. And while they have been good against TEs so far, they are now short on ILBs, and he has a back up QB that will need him to be a safety net. All the signs are there for him to produce.
Defense:
Commanders: They have not been a defense you would normally play, but they have the lowly Giants this week. A plus option.
Jaguars: Up and down so far, and they just got hammered at home by San Fran. This has bounce back game written all over it against their division rivals the Titans. It will be close, but the Jags will pull it out.
