Reaction to Week 9: We are halfway there. Oh, Oh, living the sweet fantasy life on a prayer. Oh, just me? Let’s see how my sitters did in week 9. For the QBs, I said to sit Kyler Murray and Jared Goff. Murray had 154 yards passing, 6 yards rushing, and lost a fumble. I was right to sit him. Goff ended up with only 145 yards passing and 1 TD. I was right to sit him too. At RB, I said to sit Nick Chubb and Josh Jacobs. Chubbs got 39 yards rushing and nothing else making me right to sit him. Jacobs, however, got 95 yards rushing, 13 yards receiving, and nothing else. A push here. At wide out, I said to sit Zay Flowers and Jaylen Waddle. Unfortunately, Flowers got 127 yards receiving and 2 TDs, so I was a little wrong to sit him. Waddle did get a TD, but he had negative 4 yards receiving, so I was still right to sit him. For the tight ends, I said to sit Zach Ertz and Tucker Kraft. Ertz ended up with only 5 yards receiving so I was right to sit him. Kraft got 34 yards receiving and nothing else, so I was right to sit him too. For the team defenses, I said to sit the Broncos and the Dolphins. The Broncos lost, gave up 41 points, along with only 1 sack, so I was right to sit them. The Dolphins also lost, gave up 30 points, along with a sack and a pick. I was right to sit them too. Much better. Let’s hop into week 10.

QB:

Kyler Murray: He is facing a Jets D that has given up the second fewest passing yards per game so far. Not the match up you want.

Joe Flacco: I say he has his 2nd bad start in a row as he faces a top 5 pass D in Buffalo this week. Hope he’s not your only option. You have another QB besides him right?

RB:

Tony Pollard: He is knocked up and going up against a top 3 rush D in the Chargers. Now is the game to bench him.

Tank Bigsby: With Etienne back and getting some play, combined with the fact he faces a Vikings rush D that gives up less than 75 yards on the ground per game, the appropriate reply is, no thanks.

WR:

CeeDee Lamb: No Dak. He is a little banged up. A top flight pass D in Philly. The sitting signs are all there.

Marvin Harrison, Jr.: Until he can string together some consistency, I would stay away from him, particularly against pass defenses like the Jets.

TE:

Jake Ferguson: As noted with Lamb, with no Dak and a strong Philly pass D who has not even given up a passing TD to a tight end all year, the signs of sitting him are strong here too.

Sam LaPorta: He is not being utilized in their passing game of recent, and he has a top 3 pass D against the position in Houston this week. Not a good matchup.

D:

Steelers: One of the best in the league, but they have a solid Commanders offense on the road. If you have options, you will want to consider playing them instead. If not, temper your expectations.

Broncos: Another team with a solid D who is going to battle against a good offense, an undefeated one at that in Kansas City. The Broncos offense will not be able to do enough against the Chiefs D to overcome.
