Cock-a-doodle-doo! It is fantasy football rooster time. Our 3rd year of bringing in da noise. Last year, my start options were lowest regarding tight ends being right only about 11% of the time. Ugh, that is bad, why am I reading this article? This dude is trash. However, my highest on whom to start was regarding team defenses where I was right about 56% of the time. That’s better. Okay, maybe I will give him another shot this year. So, there is some room for growth. Let’s waste no more time and see who I got to start for week 1’s weekend games.
QB:
Matt Stafford – He has 2 solid WRs and a solid RB playing in a dome against another team that will score points. Bang. Bang. Shootout in Detroit.
Baker Mayfield – He has a Washington team that was atrocious against the pass last year. I will assume they did not change here that much to make Baker a non-starter.
RB:
James Cook – He has an Arizona team that was worst in the league against the rush last year. He should shine, like a diamond.
Joe Mixon – I am all in on him getting his piece of the pie in this highly talented Houston offense.
WR:
Drake London – He has a solid passing QB now, and he is going up against a Pitt D that has traditionally allowed an opposing teams #1 wide out to get his. Good matchup for him here.
Chris Godwin – Evans will get his and against the Commanders, Godwin will get his too.
TE:
Trey McBride – He had some monster games last year, and with the addition of Marvin Harrison, Jr., there should be more one on one matchups opening up for him. Spicy.
Hunter Henry – New England will need to throw, and since Cincy was bottom 5 against the position last year, the chances should be there. They may not be there until garbage time, but they will be there.
D:
Falcons – The Steelers offense is just not that dynamic these days. They also have a new line that is trying to gel. This means there will be opportunities for the Falcons D to get some extras too.
Bengals – Speaking of not playing against a dynamic offense, the Bengals have the lowly Pats this week. Depending on which Bengals receivers play will depend on if they will by a little or win by a lot.
