Someone in your league just dropped somebody highly regarded and projected which made you go, what the? Why? Are they hurt for the season or only partially? Or, are they not performing up to expectations after 2 weeks?

Do you have a roster spot open? Do you also have someone you hoped on, and well it looks bad for them too? Is their highly ranked person higher ranked than yours? We all have at least one player that is, and can be, expendable for the right price.

If the person was cut due to injury, then hopefully you have a spot in which you can stash them. And when they return from injury, you never know.

If the person was cut due to poor performance, well, it has only been 2 weeks and things could turn around in a week, or 2 or 3, or you get me. Once again, you are bound to have a roster spot to burn to stash him too and see how things pan out.

Let me give you an example. Last year, I had a crap tight end. Did basically next to nothing. I was going to have to platoon this position (don’t do that – an article for another time). Well, lo and behold, another team cut Mark Andrews who also did not do too much for the first couple of weeks. Well, I decided, since neither my tight end, nor him were doing much, and Andrews was more highly regarded with a higher upside, it was worth the risk. And, lo and behold, I think the very next week, or maybe the one after that, Andrews became a beast for the rest of the year like projected. This one move made my team go from really good to great.

So, you have 5 defenders, 2 tight ends, 2 kickers or something like that. You do not need all that. Bye weeks haven’t even started for goodness sakes.

If you are in a keeper league, go get him and stash him, especially if they have the potential to be a keeper for next year. However, if your team is weak, let us be honest. Let us all get in the trust tree together for a second. You need to do something to make your team better. Take some risks. Be a vulture.

Unless your team defecates gold each week, always look to improve after each week. Now, go drop that second tight end or wide receiver from your favorite team who will not be fantasy good, and go get that potential.

Swoop in. You can do it. BE A VULTURE.
