Winsto’s (attempted) Wisdom
Randoms thoughts regarding current fantasy situations:
- Regarding Miami’s backfield, take a flier on Chase Edmonds, but I would not draft him ahead of guys like Damien Harris or A. J. Dillon.
- If I had to gamble on a Chiefs’ WR, I would gamble on Smith-Shuster or S. Moore (very late). Otherwise, I would just leave that situation alone. There is a chance that Mahomes spreads the ball out so much this season that no WR has 900 yards.
- Dameon Pierce will be Houston’s main running back by Week 3.
- At some point, we have to accept that Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Ronald Jones are not special. Isaiah Pacheko is someone I want on my fantasy team. The upside is tremendous.
- Brian Robinson is the Washington RB I am targeting. He will score more fantasy points in 2022 than Antonio Gibson.
- Gabriel Davis is going to help many fantasy teams win fantasy championships this season.
- I am concerned that CeeDee Lamb may disappoint fantasy managers this season. All of the signs do point to a great year for him, but maybe he is simply not an elite fantasy receiver?
- I think Cam Akers will be the alpha back on the Rams. There may be a “split” with Darrell Henderson, Jr, but I think it will be 65/35 or more in favor of Akers.
- Elijah Mitchell could be a top 8 RB or fall outside the top 25. Shanahan does not care about fantasy football managers.
- In deeper leagues, I am taking flyers on RB Eno Benjamin, RB Jaylen Warren, WR Nico Collins, and/or WR Tyquan Thornton.
- RB Zack Moss is going to cause much frustration for RB D. Singletary and RB J. Cook owners this season.
Until next time….
