Reaction to Week 2: Did my starters pan out? Let’s see. Regarding QBs, I said to start Geno and Tannehill. First of all, Geno had 328 yards passing and 2 TDs, and Tannehill had 246 yards passing with 1 TD passing and 1 TD rushing. I was right to start both of them. For the backs, I said to start Stevenson and Kelly. On Kelly, he had 39 yards rushing, none passing and no TD. He’s no Ekeler. He’s not even a daisy. I was wrong to start him. Stevenson had 50 yards rushing with a TD. Not #2 overall stats, but good enough to start, thereby making me right to start him. On the wide outs, I said to start Mike Williams and Kadarius Toney, Williams had 83 yards with no TD, slightly under average, while Toney had 35 yards also with no TD. I was wrong on both of them. For the TEs, I said to start Njoku and Okonkwo. Njoku was the Browns 2nd leading receiver but with 48 yards, no TD and a fumble, I was wrong to start him. Meanwhile, Okonkwo had 35 yards with no TDs, so he made me wrong too. On the other side of the ball, I said to start the Giants and the Browns. The Giants got the win, gave up 28 points, and had no extras. Due to this latter fact, I was wrong to start them. If it wasn’t for the Browns offense, the D would have been a for sure start. But they had a loss, had 26 points against them, 2 TOs and 2 sacks. This is close; I say a push.
Week 3:
QB:
Deshaun Watson: No Chubb and Tennessee has allowed a 300 yard passer in both games so far this year. This is a good opportunity for him to get some stats.
Baker Mayfield: He is going up against a Philly defense that is shaky right now against the pass. Actually, they are last in fantasy points against the QB. So, until they show us something. QB play against them is a go.
RB:
Najee Harris: Have you benched him yet? He has faced San Fran and Cleveland, 2 of the better teams against the run. He has the Raiders this week; things should go better.
Jerrick McKinnon: He had a bad stat line, little touches game this past week. Let’s call it a hunch. I even say multiple TDs.
WR:
George Pickens: Diontae is still out, and Pickens produced good numbers this past week against a solid Cleveland D. He has the Raiders this week; an even better match up.
Chris Godwin: I think the Eagles, Darrius Slay specifically, will look to shut down Mike Evans. This will leave Godwin open for the pickens.
TE:
Is Kyle Pitts on your bench? This is a statable game. He could break out and have his best game so far this year against a Rams team that has been susceptible to TEs.
Dalton Kincaid: He might be setting himself up as the Bill’s receiving TE, as expected. He is a maybe, but with high potential. For this position, he is worth the risk.
Defense:
Detroit Lions: The Falcons are 2 and 0, but this is their first road game. I say Detroit hands them their first loss bringing them back down to the ground.
Kansas City Chiefs: The Bears are not good on offense, and the Chiefs are. A victory here, plus enough extras will make the Chiefs a quality start.
